correction:i have the dm file, i just don't know what folder to put it in. i think i have tried everywhere, but dominions can't seem to see it.

mods go in the mod directory.

You also need the image files for it.

it is in there soy(the mod directory). but the specific dm file llamabanners-what folder within that directory?? right now i just have it in the mod folder itself, but the images are in there own folder within the mods directory

i wonder why, when it all seems so straight forward, i am capable of messing it up so consistantly

mods/ <- .dm file goes here
mods/imagesdirectory <- images go here.
mods/ <- the .dm icon goes here. Some .dm files have icons. 90% of the time they are in the plain mods dir. (Check the .dm file).

Look inside the .dm file (open it with a text editor). The file should describe the directory structure it expects for any images.

The .dm file is the main file. Dom3 only looks for .dm files in the mod directory. Placing dm files in subdirectories makes them invisible.
