Chechnyan Scenarios
 

After watching some interesting documentaries about the first and second Chechnyan wars I've decided to make a scenario or two. I could only find one scenario: 216-Komsomolskoye that uses the Chechnyan OOB. So my question is: are there more Chechnyan themed scenarios? I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if the scenarios already exist. Also, is there a way I can search the scenarios by nationality? Maybe in Scenhack or something? I thought about writing a simple program in qbasic to scan the text files in the scenarios directory but I'd rather not go that far if some utility already exists.

It's a niche interest item - so probably not more than the one out there.

There is no search by nation function in Scenhack. Scenhack also requires a double click to load each scenario, so probably it's best to use the game and go through the scenario list looking at the 2 opponents since that is a single click each. The opponent pair is usually noted on the front page of the scenario blurb in-game.

Thanks for the reply. I found a useful feature in the windows explorer that allows the user to search file contents. It appears there is only one scenario for Chechnya.

SPIII had a good scenario for the assault on Grozny. You can find the game somewhere and load it on Dosbox.
