three quick questions
Happy New Year SP fans. After scrupulously perusing the search function, here's a few nagging questions for your kind attention:
1) Will on-board artillery automatically fire counter-battery against enemy on-board artillery if you leave them alone, or do you have to do it manually? 2) Do forward observers gain experience simply by successfully directing arty fire? 3) How do you "sell" core units in a campaign? (I've been playing SP for years, and didn't know this was possible.) Thanks and happy gaming! :) |

2) As you direct fire your artillery leadership skill increases over time, so your ability to call fire gets better. Your ordinary skills will also increase over time as well, which also contributes. Of course you could also "Rambo" your FOO into hand to hand combat to get some kills, but that is really not advised...:hurt: 3) Click on the undesired formation in the upgrade/repair screen formation list on the RHS and answer Y to the "do you want to delete" message. |
Re: three quick questions
1. You have to plot fires manually for on-board artillery to counter battery enemy on-board. In fact, auto counter battery only works for off-board against enemy off-board arty. On-Board arty cannot counter batt enemy off-board arty.
2. I don't really know about this one, since I don't use fwd obs. But I think calling arty fire only improves his artillery command rating. Experience seems to be accrued when you take enemy fire and shooting at enemy directly. Killing units help increase experience dramatically. 3. "Selling" core units happens at the end of the battle, in the screen where you're allowed to refit damaged units. Basically go to the "Expand CORE" screen, and delete units. Hope that helps |
