He tried to send me an virus which luckily my computor caught.

Seems he is a sore loser.

You sure he did it on purpose? Maye his E mail account got hacked, happened to my cousin.

Well you could be right,just have never had this happen after 100+ pbems.
It was a get rich quick scam that tried to take over my browzer.
It may been a hacker and not his fault.
I sent him msg regarding this matter and suspending all pbems for the time so it will not spread.

Many 'hacks' exploit the infected computers contacts list to send spam and worse. He may not even realise it (yet) - until folks start complaining to him!.

It's been around for ages - had someone use my old CostUServe account in the mid-late 90's when they were still 1234567(@)compuserve.com or suchlike format so dirt simple for spammers to pose as you.

Been notifyed from wicked that there was a spam bot that sent the bad email on no fault of his own.
Changing password fixs it.
I apoligise for my false assumption,he is a very trustworty opponent, and if anything is learned,is never open any strange EM's, other than the clipt files pertanint to the game that have been scanned first.

Havent been on here in a while but just noticed this.
i only found out after i had several friends and pbemers ask what the emails i sent to them were, I didnt even know until then. not even sure how it can happen as ive had email for years but changed my passwords as i had been advised and everything seems ok now. hopefully wont happen again. but yes never open an email with just a link in. i have had them sent to me but never the other way around (until now)
