Help with Ai and component use
Just started a mod, and made a class of components that are half cost but take up two times more space (henc forth called Lowcost). Well the ai will only use the Lowcost componets and can't fit the Colony componet on the colony ships.. Btw All of the ships are larger than normal SE4 .
Dose make a fun Pbw game thoug. Try large high cost ships ,Except the colony ship. Six hundred turns and the bigest empire has 25 ships. Here is the Escort Class ship.. Escort Tonnage := 425 Cost Minerals := 425 Cost Organics := 60 Cost Radioactives := 30 The Realy huge ships Can eat up 2 to 3 huge worlds Minerals Organics and Radioactives. Have to love hearing your dormate Cry like a little school girl when his Base Ship is destroyed. Yep 50 turns down the drain... |

Try moving all the Lowcost components above the high-cost components in Components.TXT.
Assuming that the ability amounts are the same in both LowCost and normal, the AI will then choose the Normal components. |
