Invisible Costs
 
For some inexplicable reason, I was scrolling through the Cost Calculator the other day and came across some engineer tanks where the 'Extras' cost was 800 (fair enough) but there was also an additional 800 buried in the cross-add of Base + Ammo + ? = Cost + Extras = Total cost.

Rather than closing my eyes and backing slowly away - never to return - I wondered what this might be for, and saw that it affected a number of different unit classes ... ? ;)

At first glance it does appear to be a double charge but that may be intentional to do that. I'll leave this one to Andy as the CC is his baby

Those values were put in for debug many years back. Some of the new values added over the years may not be added in to that total field - I have not bothered to keep it in synch.

Raw points values in the calc get divided by the overall divisor - by 40 I think, to get the final value. (a ~40 point Sherman would thus be 1600 or so points internally).

800/40 -> the added cost (in final points) for an engineer vehicle is about 20 points.

I'll have a look at that some day - and probably also remove the debug info as it was for code working only, but I'll check its totalising correctly as well.
