South Korean K200
1 Attachment(s)
Units 59 & 60 K200A1 & A2 both have no smoke dischargers which seemed odd as other troop transport does. Unit 58 K200 may well not have as it was the replacement for the M113.
Photographs seem to show otherwise, this one is from 2007 |

John,
I see you're keeping busy!?! A good catch...yes all variants have 6 Dual Purpose 40mm launchers capable of firing both smoke and standard grenades. I'm also reading they can be internally reloaded as well but, not happy with the sources, have noted this in my notes for later as time allows to research it better. I'm already starting on organizing my inputs/refs, so I haven't had a chance to check the ROK (S.Kor.) OOB, but is the 40mm turreted one in there and are all variants amphibious? They all are built with the amphib capability without preparation from the factory. ROK is using all variants shown by the manufacturers website below. Also not finding anything on the K200A2 and not shown in the ref. but, my search wasn't focused on that variant. Like Malaysia's (Only export customer of the K200.) ADAN, these are better protected then the standard USA M113 series. http://www.doosan.com/doosandst/en/p...es/korean.page Pic: Attachment 12506 Attachment 12509 As some of us out here prepare to gather with our families and friends this weekend, let's not forget about our fallen and their families and friends.
