RackPzgr 8.8cm - Panzerblitz I & II
 

I was locking thruh the different FW 190 versions with at rockets, what I find strange is the "RackPzgr 8.8cm"(ID 174), its values seem to be the best of all the German AT aircraft rockets but if it really would have been so good there wouldn't have been any need to develop the Panzerblitz I and II.

Not much info I found but 2 problems for the RackPzgr 8.8cm stand out:
1. Too inaccurate because of poor ballistics.
2. Plane needs to slow down to at least 490 km/h to use it.

If those points can be confirmed the FW 190(ID 915) using it could be made slower(not sure if that really matters in the game) and maybe the weapon accuracy could be lowered to 2 or even 1.

Not disputing or looked into but your premise could well be wrong.

They will most likely have been designed by 2 separate company's & pressed into service, response to effectiveness of allied rockets. Manufacturing is in a bad way towards wars ends so each built its design. Just like say the jets if its designed & works build it not capable of tooling everything to produce the best.

All rockets are inaccurate
I doubt ground attacks bar dive bombing happened much above 490 km/h you have to see & aim at the target.

Sure but most sources indicate that they were developed one after another, each time improved because the former needed to be improved.

Well the infos on those 2 pages doesn't seem to match unfortunately.
The German source speaks of 90mm pentration for "PD 8,8cm-Pz.Büchsenrohr" & "Panzerblitz I" while the English one states 160-200mm, also that only the rocket motor was changed for the "Panzerblitz I" despite the German source indicating a much lower penetration value.
That the Panzerblitz I was called Panzerschreck 2 is also new to me.

As I said the infos about those systems are rare and most pages repeat what is found on others, that makes getting a definitive picture problematic at best.

Maybe someone stumbles about something definitive like a manual for those systems.
