Mock Drones
 
I have been working on a sort of mock drone. 100k ship cheep to build built in bridge no crew needed.

Has any one else tried this if so any luck? Any tips?

I know the gold demo is out. But I am playing the regular till I get the full Version down the road

not quite like that, but a thread here inspired me to try making fighter class hulls as ships. that was a long time ago.

basically, the idea was for FTL jumpships to ferry smaller warships between systems in their cargo hold, so fighters were made as big as ships, and were made to take real sized components. of course, the fighter stacks really f#$%ed things up when computing damage for stacks of warships, so i sort of scrapped the idea. maybe there will be a way to do it with drones.

tell me, if you dont send out drones with a mission, and a ship just launches them in combat either when attacked or when attacking, do they return to cargo or are they gone-gone. if they go bye-bye, does this mean that a fleet of drone carying DNs could be effectively disarmed by a single escort that attacks them? and all the time you spent building those drones was wasted?

or do they return to cargo like fighters? tell me, tell me, tell me (how they do that trick)

i tried a while ago, just add all the abilities from the bridge component to the ship hull, that should work, i think..i don't really remember it that good...
