CD Key problems (Steam)

I got the game from Steam once it got greenlighted, played a few single player games without trouble, then went on to find a multiplayer game. Whenever llamaserver sends back the turns, I get a message saying 'CD Key Violation'!! Who do I go to with this issue, and/or how do I get it fixed? Did steam give me a bunk CD key or is the problem on Shrapnel's end? Help please!

Shrapnel does not publish the game anymore. Look for the Dominions 3 forums at Desura. Linked from the sticky about communities on top of the forum.
