Italy Long Campaign
I have spotted one clear bug in the Long Campaign for Italy:
If you choose Balkans from July to September 1940, you will get battles against Yugoslavia. Needless to say, there was no fighting in the Balkans before October 1940 when Italy invaded Greece. Also, the campaign always ends in June 1943. That is a strange month to end the campaign, since the fighting in North Africa was over in May 1943, but the Allied invasion of Sicily did not start until July and continued to August. If the idea is that no Italian units got out of North Africa (which is pretty much true save some special forces), the end date should be May 1943. |
Re: Italy Long Campaign
I think the SSI WW2 LC always offered Yugoslavia as a stand-in for Albania (I'll need to check when they invaded there and if there was any fighting in any case - Albania may be best left to scenarios with partisan type OPFOR?).
The Italian WW2 LC stops at Tunisia methinks - end date is likely wrong, or possibly meant to advance to a final hurrah in Sicily (and got that wrong). I'll check this out. Andy |
Re: Italy Long Campaign
Italian Balkans now fixed:
10/40-3/41 Balkan Opponent is Greece in a Greek or balkan (Albania) batloc - mainly in Albania later on as the Greeks have forced them back there 4/41 - its v. Yugoslavia (Balkans (18) as Yugoslavia) + Extended LC end date to 9/43: + Added Germany as a possible opponent in 9/43 (Some units did fight against them and your core is one of these lucky ones !) Ensured the clock gets advanced if the campaign month is 6/43 to 7/43 (gap from Tunisia -> Sicily) - your veteran cores made one of the ships back, fortunately.. cheers Andy |
