Display problem...

Hello all - brand new rookie here - I looked around for answers already but didn't see anything.

I just downloaded the free version and it looks like a cool game except in windowed mode it is only this big and hard to see. In full mode it gets all blurry and unreadable - what can I do?

The free demo game can only be played in 640 or 800 resolutions, whether windowed or full screen modes.

If you want to play in the desktop's resolution or one of the larger 4:3 windows resolutions, then you'll need to purchase the full game. (I'm currently happily playing on a 1080p 1920x1080 monitor).

However - in the meantime you might try setting your monitor to a lower desktop size and then playing in windowed mode or full screen.

cheers

For the price of 40 bucks I purchases this many years ago, and I have had 2 desktops and now a laptop that I have moved to. Originally I had a 1980x1200 monitor (or something like that) and now my my laptop I am running 1600x900 and can play the game in full window mode with no issues.

For $40 you get you're money back after spending countless hours playing this fun game that is for sure.

And on top of all that the icing on the cake is that SP Camo has continued to support and update the code over the years.

Oh, yeah. If you want to really enjoy the game, the purchased game is the way to go. The Custom Map Editor is almost worth the price of the whole game itself if you're into that type of thing (as I am). The breadth and reach of the campaigns and scenarios available and those that can be generated is amazing and getting better all the time.

The dedication of the designers and maintainers of the game is very gratifying also. Don't worry about buying something that won't be supported in six months; that won't happen with these guys.

Unlike most modern games there is years of game play rather than weeks or hours so its extraordinary value for money to. Have a feeling I have been playing it for something like 8 years now which is mind blowing in its self.

The bought copy adds what seem little things but they make the game so much better you will kick yourself for not getting it. I bought one game & a week later placed my order for the other when I realised just how much it enhanced the game.

Yes indeed. This incredible game is worth considerably more than a little trouble or expense, be it time, money, or energy. Talk about a diamond in the rough!
