Usmc himars

USMC OOB 13 UNIT 281 Weapon 204 is listed with an HE of 12 and a ROF of 6. It is listed as an O/M Rocket Arty with a Unit Class of 31.

I believe the HIMARS has six tubes rather than 12 and a rate of fire of 1 would be more appropriate although it can fire all six tubes simultaneously.

This unit, as an on map unit or a unit class of 137, would enhance game play experience as firing one tube of CM or HE munitions is not as lethal as the current O/M rendering of firing 6 tubes at once, IMHO.

And since 12 is 2 times 6, and off-map rocket artillery get one reload - there you go. (BM-21 Grads for example, if off-map, get 40x2=80).

Thanks, that answers the first issue, but more to what I'd looking for is making a HIMARS unit an on map unit with 6 tubes and an ROF of 1.

So, I took the BM-21V Brad-V, Russia unit 274 inserted into my Scenhack file, then modified Weapon 1 in the Editor to 204 with 6 HE and an ROF of 1. It works, but it ain't the pic of the HIMARS although the icon looks cool in the game.

A while back the vast majority of on-map artillery and rockets were removed from all the OOBs.
WinSPMBT deals with what's called in the USA the "FEBA", Forward Edge of the Battle Area. This is the place you find infantry, tanks, ATGMs, etc.
Artillery (and most rockets) are positioned behind the FEBA to keep them out of harms way, they have no business being on the front lines.

Now if you wish to add them to a personal OOB or feel the need to have them in a specific scenario there are certainly ways to do so.
