What is the best use of each gem?

In CMB, Dom 3, up to tech level 6, and ignoring SuperCombatants; What is the best use of each gem?
I did water and the Kithrionic Lion by way of Alt 6 summon is the best. 2 gems for 7 shot one aoe armor melting artillery unit.
