Large Map Bug
I'm new to this part of the forum so I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I wanted to ask about an odd bug in SE:V when large maps are being generated, possibly with the Balance mod. Beyond a certain large number of stars no warp points will form in the entire map leaving a map of singleton stars. I have tried numerous setting changes all to no avail. I am looking to play on maps with as many stars as possible, but this bug is putting a cap on that. Is there any fix for this? Is it the mod? The game? I am fully updated for both. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Large Map Bug
Any chance that system limit is 255?
Something to try; make a quick mod to give a low cost warppoint opener component at starting tech, and try opening a warppoint to one of those cut-off systems. If that works, then you could just add an event script to connect disconnected systems after the game start. |
Re: Large Map Bug
Where do I find the system limit option? Doesn't appear to be in the normal game options.

Re: Large Map Bug
I mean, does that problem start happening when you get to 255 systems?
I believe the option would be "number of systems min/max" somewhere in settings.txt in the data folder of whatever mod you're using. |
Re: Large Map Bug
Oh, I fixed the problem. As you said it was in Settings.txt. The map gen system max was 200 and another setting set the max to 150.
