Star Temple Security Field

I've gotten into a Star Temple in Sector 5. It looks like about 52% of the temple is behind a red force field but there isn't any switch to turn that off on my side of the star temple. Am I missing something?:o

Clearly , this should not happen.
There are several pathfinding algorithms in place to prevent it.
What I would guess happened is that the *switch* for the forcefield
got over-written with an item or pillar. Still not good, but not as bad as it could be.

I've had a similar thing happen on some shipwrecks, where the switch was either inaccessible behind a damaged section of the ship, or simply not present at all (I assume because a damage tile overwrote it). I wasn't sure if this is considered a bug, or if some shipwrecks can have inaccessible areas in rare instances and it's just bad luck.
