organic armor bug/feature.
Despite playing SEIV for more than year, I still find some amusing features. Do you know that the single piece of organic armor provides no benefits of armor regeneration whatsoever ? You must have two or more pieces to notice the regeneration. The reason is of course very simple but counterintuitive (for me at least): the regeneration occurs only at the moment of a component destruction, there is no armor healing if no armor components are destroyed during the turn.

The other thing is that as soon as all examples of one component with OA regen ability are destroyed, all OA regen is disabled on that ship.
So, if you have 3 OA III's and an OA I, when the OA I is destroyed, your OA III's will not regenerate anymore. This also prevents the modding of a borg-style entire-ship regeneration ability. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif |
