Need DesignCreation help

I'm not so sure about a major concept of the AI's design Creation file. What does "Spaces per one" mean, exactly? I think this is somehow related to ship tonnage, with one space equaling one ton.

Example:
Misc Ability 1 Spaces Per one := 200

Does the above example mean that in this case one component of Misc Ability 1 will be added to the ship design for every 200 tons of ship size?

Yes, it does mean that. Using "spaces per one :=200" will add one component for each "full" 200 kT of hull. This means that one component will be used for DS and smaller, two for LC and CR, 3 for BC, 4 for BB, 5 for DN and so on. Remember that fractions are always rounded down. So, for example, spaces per one = 170, will add only only two components to a cruiser (3 * 170 = 510 ---> Cruiser hull is only 500).

Thanks! And I presume that in order to have only one component installed per hull you would select a very large number. I nave noticed that in various AI files that the figure of 10000 is used presumably to acheive this.

Yes, exactly.
