Change unit menu
1 Attachment(s)
From an early thread I thought you could change anything to anything if you hade enough points and the new unit is available by date. This does not seem to be the case or, and more likely, I'm doing something wrong.
This is a bit long and hopefully not too confusing. I created a Kraftrad Zug with 3 x Kraftrad, 1 x Kradschutzen Sw and 1 x 3xBewagenKrad to carry the later. My idea was that I would convert it a Schutzen Zug minus the transport as the war progressed. (both are shown in the pic). I can change the Kraftrad to Schutzen but cannot change the Sw unit or the Bewagen to a 5cm leGrw or PzB 39 respectively. Is this because the Grw and PzB 39 are units while the other two are formations? Help need please. |
Re: Change unit menu
May I suggest taking time out to read the game guide or reading answers to your posts more carefully, below is an answer already given to you.
To expand on it changing unit types is a bad idea & may well require changing the unit a few times to find something that crosses over. Example APC to a tank probably needs to go to some form of armoured car or SP Artillery piece first. The unit losses experience for each change. Also every unit starts with artillery armour & infantry command & is best at the one it is intended for. Changing to a different unit type means its good at the wrong job as its primary skill stays the same. Quote:
For battles & campaigns If you want to play like this your best option is use the assign unit button to build your own formations for mixed unit type formations. If you want to change the whole platoon formation type I would sell it & buy the right one. <!-- / message --> |
Re: Change unit menu
The change unit menu is for units and has absolutely nothing to do with formations.
