Effects of AI losing it's Battle Group HQ
 
I landed a Fj Komp on top of a the Polish HQ on the first turn. It died heroically but are there any specially effects caused by the AI's main HQ dying.

It'll have a morale effect on its decision as to whether or not to throw in the towel later on. Losing the HQ is a large part of determining the "force broken" status - for you too, if your force is severely beaten up - not just the AI!

Also, same as if you lost your battlegroup HQ in a battle - off-map arty etc will be more likely to be out of contact, since the HQ's main job is as a comms relay to the rear units.

If the AI had no dedicated FOO teams, then its artillery calls will also take a little longer since it uses the HQ as the default FOO if there are no others. (The HQ is an "almost" observer, better than a line HQ, less than a dedicated FOO).
