Campaign Rebuilt Units

During a campaign battle all of a platoon, D0, D1, and D2, was wiped out. When the platoon was rebuilt, D2 rather than D0 was designated the platoon commander. Why did that happen?

Presumably D2 was the last section destroyed. . If a platoon leader / HQ section is destroyed command passes to the next surviving section of the platoon. Repairing the units does not alter this. . You can, however, use the "fix formation leader" button on the HQ screen. (paid for version only) This Makes the leader the x0 section again.
