I just realized that the printed manual that comes with the game is less comprehensive than the version on-line.

I need to read the on line version of the manual. I'll post here if I have some questions.

Of course - the printed manual is only a subset of the Game Guide, provided as a "get you started" item. It was printed many years ago and has never been updated.

The HTML Game Guide is the definitive reference, and is continually updated. The in-game TXT help is mainly there as a quick reference, e.g. for hot keys. Though these days, if the game is played in windowed desktop mode, its quite simple to simply open the Game Guide in Game Options, and then fire up the game and swap between the two.
