Aircraft Targeting IEDs
While working on my latest Afghan scenario I noticed aircraft targeting IEDs, fortified houses, and hiding places. I became particularly dismayed when an AC-130 Spectre repeatedly targeted a booby trap enroute to its designated target.
In my opinion the IEDs, fortified houses and hiding places ought not to be targeted unless the player designates it as a target. Now, that means fortified houses in my opinion should not be disclosed by aircraft or the player placing cursor on the house. It should remain discrete until a unit is within a hex for a turn, similar as what happens with mines and IEDs, and snipers and engineers. But, in no way should an aircraft ID an IED. Maybe I am missing something in my design, if so, please advise. ====== |
Re: Aircraft Targeting IEDs
Planes shouldn't be targeting IEDs - something to fix.
A fortified house is a fortification and not a house as far as the game is concerned. |
Re: Aircraft Targeting IEDs
If you have a save game showing the IED being targeted that would be useful
