MM please increase the unit limit!
 

I like to use units and especially fighters very much and in several games I had reached the maximum limit of 5000 units in space. I do not see that this limit is necessary and would kindly ask MM to increase the limit.
I play on a PII, 32 MB RAM, 233 MHz computer and had no problem, so I think newer computer should handle larger unit numbers withour any problem. MM still can recommend the lower limit number so nobody will blame them if the computers crashes with 50000 units in space!
But as the computer does not handle the units individually but only the Groups of units problems might even not arise at very large numbers.

Ya, I think the program ought to be able to cope with about as many unit Groups in space as it can ships, since the information tracked is about as complex for a unit group as it is for a ship. 5000 Groups ought to be pretty hard to run out of.

I think when you start a game there is a setting to increase the max number of units in space at a time. Unless 5000 is the highest it can go.

5000 is the highest you can go!
You can fill any number in the settings text file but a value of more than 5000 is not functional. The game will just use its maximum of 5000.
