Thanks aquila. :up: For me, the game is also new, so I am happy about every video. May I ask you something? Instead of a version number you have winSPWW2 vEXP-CD. But it seems to be the same version I play with. It can not be a free version, because then the graphics would not be so nice, or is that a misconception? I ask that, because a friend of mine refuses to install the free version. Instead, he comes to me and looks over my shoulder to get an impression of the game. It's nice that I'm not so alone at home, but if this is the free version, he would certainly install? :)

The EXP exe was a test exe we made right after the last release that runs the terrain graphic in a different way than they are in any other version of Steel Panthers and it became the basis for both of the next game patches and why both have 8 zoom levels.......and is CD only and it runs the 2018 version of SPWW2

I don't believe he plays WinSP anymore, at least he hasn't put any videos up for these games since last year. He was not playing the free version, it was the paid version. For your friend, I would say to him that he should definitely install the free version of both MBT and WW2, they're both full games in their own right and that's how I got started (played those and enjoyed them for several years before upgrading to the paid versions).

I wished he will play again when he has learned the dependencies of the simulation and the frustration is over. At least, I hope so. Not everyone would have the courage to share these videos, that's admirable. Therefore I keep watching them with muted sound. If they are looked at often, he may take new courage. Myself, for me, playing is also new, but I have a big advantage because I have often watched. In the first month I played only on small maps with few infanty troops, that helped. Only after my successes were machine guns, guns and tanks added.

Now I more and more have the feeling, that alone I determine where the journey on the battlefield goes. Therefore, I look at the map and decide which troops I ask for support. Every unit is familiar to me, thanks to the encyclopaedia. And then I do it the way General Blücher describes it. "Bravery brings honor to the soldier." Some of my men pay that with their lives - the survivors mean less to me. The units gain experience and I demand more in the next battle.

In real life I would never dare to make such decisions but it is just a game. I think the game mechanics work very well and everything fits together. That is why it's even more fun now, because I've constantly been a little bit more successful. My dad was right, the game is worth every hour of play. Now we get a lot of graphic upgrades. Well stick with it, watch videos, and maybe make some videos of your own later on. That one video you found is good too, he did a whole series of those for WW2 and also for MBT.
