W-key not responding again
 

I was playing a random battle, I was Cuba and playing against Saudi Arabia, in September of 1976. I had a man portable anti-tank weapon that I couldn't get to fire using the W-key. It would fire in combination with all the unit's other weapons turned on, but I couldn't get it to fire individually, even if I turned off all the other weapons. I noticed this happening with other weapon systems from other nations too, over the last year or so. It seems to work correctly sometimes, but not all the time. Should work all the time. Should be real simple to use. Shouldn't be any problem.

I was going to suggest check to see it had ammo but if it fired it obviously did

My guess - the unit was targeted against something else, too far away for the AT weapon and not the one you wanted to fire against. So when you tried W - number sequence, it aborted. Then you probably fired all against the desired target, and that was now in range of the AT weapon.

If you see this again save the game and post it. Discussing a problem in theory and seeing it are two very different things
