What would I pick to recreate the Aden Emergency
 

Britain and Aden separatists fought in Oman. If I pick Mujahedin I get Afghanistan, if I pick red I get Balkans. And yes I know there are at least one scenario of the fighting in the game.

You could set it up as Mujahedin or red for the Oman insurgents then use map location 32 and set "savanna" to 1 and generate a map with the map generator

Click VIEW MAP-------> then click on the top right "change map ID button" enter 32 now click on the middle button just above Edit Map and enter 2 for urbanization and 1 for savanna then press the Blue > button and keep pressing it until you see a map you like or experiment with the other settings as well

I may try that thanks I am going to do a campaign and ya Yemen gives a bazillion armored vehicles.

This depends on what battle in that region are you referring to. The Jebel Akhdar War 1954- 1959, the Aden Emergency 1964–1967 or the Dhofar Rebellion 1962 – 1975 but basically there has been non stop warfare that area since the 50's though not always involving the British.

If you keep your force to mainly infantry and have preferences set to AI Tank Heavy OFF you shouldn't see a Yemeni armour overload and less so if the battle you want to recreate is in the late '60's and you can use South Yemen as the opponent
