Assault Boats Destroyed But Not Sunk?

This may sound like a stupid question but here goes...

It's been awhile since I played a battle that used assault boats for infantry so I don't quite remember how this works but is it normal for some inflatable boats to be sunk and disappear in deep water while some will show as destroyed and be on fire in the water (and still in deep water hexes)?

It can happen on occasion. IIRC it started last release with a change to allow assault boats to pick up changed ID tags and also IIRC we thought we had that fixed but I just checked and no we don't

It doesn't change the fact they are destroyed but it's not intended so it's a real "bug"
