CD damage!
 

I'm sad. I finally got my gold copy today, but when I opened it, the CD was warped and will not work in my cd drive. I'm attempting to flatten it out with the help of my physics book (it finally came in handy for something) in the meantime, but what should I do? Shrapnel?

Open a customer support request and we will get you a new CD.

You may want to try 'heating' the CD with it upside-down. I can't tell you for sure what will happen, but a hair-dryer or oven set on 'low' might help (destroy even further) flatten your disc.

Can anyone say 'Shrinky Dink'?

Okay, well after an hour or so squashed between all my heaviest textbooks, I got it flattened enough to install the game. I'm going to contact the service dept though and get a replacement CD...thanks Shrapnel...even though it wasn't your fault! Keep up the superb work.

Well, I got my new CD today, a mere 4 days after the fact. Of course, it was squished in the mailbox again, but this time the damage was not so bad and with some rebending, the CD works fine.
