Max number of players in a game?

I rember seeing it somewhere, just can't remember where. So how many players can you have in a game. Me being one player and the rest computer players.

Am I correct that this is modified in the data/settings/max number of computer players?

The maximum number of players in the game including your empire is 20.

and it can not be modified in the settings file

well I never really left just kinda lurked. But now that gold is out I'm sure there will be lots of interesting new topics coming along that i can throw my two cents about.
