Stug III's are expensive.
 

Why are the Stug III's so expensive compared to turreted tanks. One source says "at 82,500 RM, a StuG III Ausf G was cheaper than a Panzer III Ausf. M, which cost 103,163 RM".
The game price for Stugs overall seems way too high compared to their turreted brothers.
And yes they are basicaly defensive, and excell at ambush tactics, where they came into their own at the second half of WW2.

Moved to the appropriate thread

- Turreted things are cheaper (forget how much) then thier counterparts
- Stugs have good frontal armour, both turreted and hull, P4s have 5 armour max with the long 75 gun. Armour costs, especially in WW2 Vs MBT!
- I havent looked butthey may have better FC and RF factors - which costs
- Again, cant be bothered to ferret out but check the ammo loadout, each shell costs, esp APCR if any

And no, there wont be any changes to the points calculator, its 20 year old code (might evenbe in Delphi) - which has done the job fine so far.
