Danger Forward / Desert Rats

I've got Danger Forward and I really enjoy playing it. I was thinking of getting Desert Rats, but I don't see much action on this board for either game. I know there are a couple of sites that have scenarios but there don't seem to be many for games of this quality. Are there many people out there playing either of these games? Have they stopped after they've played all the scenarios? Does anyone play e-mail games? Will there be a Desert Rat "Gold Edition" issued soon? Also, what's the ratio of Axis vs. US to Axis vs. United Kingdom scenarios in Desert Rats? I know that this is a lot of questions but if anyone could answer them for me I'd appreciate it.

Also, I'm going to post this in The Wargamer Forums.

Thanks in advance.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game, Max. I've often been puzzled by the lack of posting activity regarding these games myself, not just on the Shrapnel board but throughout the Internet wargaming community generally. All I can say is that it's hard for an non-mainstream developer like Boku to get the publicity I think we'd all like (and we've been indie from the beginning with no ties ever to mainstream publishing). The thing to do is just what you're doing: go to other forums you frequent and post your thoughts about these games. This will bring out other players and maybe spark some interest.

I can answer your question about the Axis vs UK/US ratio. There are 7 battles vs. the USA, 8 vs. the UK and 2 vs. both at once.

There are no plans for a Gold Edition at this time.

Thanks Dave. I ordered Desert Rats Last week and I'm looking forward to playing it. Bismark at The Wargamer had some good words about these games too.
