the history claims that the armored cav units had tank squadrons in 56 but the game doesn't have them till 60. I just make an armored car squadron and replace the cars with tanks.

The game has

106 Tank Troop - Available: 01/48-04/75
107 Tank Section - Available: 01/48-04/75

So it is possible to build a squadron from them in 1956

If this info is accurate and I am not saying it's not and there were full tank squadrons in 56 then the simplest solution is to change the start date of-----

105 Tank Squadron - Available: 01/60-04/75

to 1/56.

There is no need to add another formation

I agree and made it 10 1956 since that is when South Vietnam was officially a republic.
