Question Re: UnitClass 138 Heavy Transporter

Has anyone actually used a unit from that class in the game or campaign?

Yes the one in the Ukrainian ORBAT, in a campaign.

Re: Question Re: UnitClass 138 Heavy Transporter

If you're asking about the U.S. one, I submitted so it can transport the ABRAMS and if the map showed a decent number of roads, I would definitely have to consider the option as those transporters would get those tanks to the front quicker-they are not slow underweight.

Ukraine has some wide rivers etc. so would need them for barges as well I would think as the the map might present.

Re: Question Re: UnitClass 138 Heavy Transporter

I have, but more as a curiosity / oddity.

The ones in current OoBs could be retained in the Heavy Truck or Artillery Tractor class if you wanted to create a new "thing" (direct attack drones?) and need a class number for it.

Re: Question Re: UnitClass 138 Heavy Transporter

The only reason I asked is I finally tested the ARV I put in the Canadian OOB " for fun"....... it does the job IF all you are trying to do is haul the tank out of the way and hide it someplace "safe" on may but if you try to haul it off map all you do is loose the ARV and in the process destroy what was only a damaged vehicle...... it would be much better, especially in a campaign, to bail the crew and put them in a speedy vehicle and get them to the players map edge then unload them and let them take a walk

We weren't looking for a UC to pirate I was just wondering if anyone ever actually used them no matter the OOB and now I know the answer.
