PIATs for the Maquis?
 

FFI PIAT units



When you do your next WINSPWW2 updates, could we please have a PIAT unit available for the FFI / French resistance?

I note that Yugoslav and Polish guerillas have this weapon in their OBs, and that PIATs are available for both Polish regular (Unit # 073) and paratroop (Unit # 170) units as early as January 1943. I presume that this date is a typo, given that other units must wait until July 1943 – in fact as previously postsed it should be March 1943...

According to Matthew Moss, The PIAT, Osprey Weapon # 74, Osprey Publishing, Bloomsbury, 2020, p. 51, by June 1944 288 PIATS had been dropped to French resistance groups, and later more for a total of about 1,206 [1]. The US Bazooka is listed in the FFI OB, so the PIAT should be too.

We did say in a number of times the last release was THE LAST RELEASE but I will tuck this away JUST IN CASE but the chances of another WW2 release are about the same as discovering warp drive in our lifetimes

OTOH.... it's a simple job to add that with your copy of MOBHack for your copy of the game and here is a photo of one in Maquis hands
