Minor P&N Bug - Gold
I have noticed a small design bug with the AI's in P&N. They seem to design mines with one warhead and the rest armor. This doesn't make much sense to me. Also I have noticed that when not playing Pirate or Nomad, the Pirate Hoarde, Research Center and Intelligence Center still show up.

Hmm.
I don't know why, but even TDM AIs have calls for armor on their mines. The only advantage that would give would be if you deployed mines during combat: the enemy guns would have a harder time killing 'em. The facilities seem OK on the Version I've got installed, and I can't seem to find a link to the uploaded Version http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif . From the sounds of it, the problem might have been the "num tech requirements" being too low. Once I've got v2.6 done, I can Goldify that and use it as v3.1 |

All right thanks. One thing I did notice with the mines is that when they are on the planet, it takes a long time to kill them, and it seems they are destroyed first before weapon platforms. This means that the weapon platforms are around longer and as such can do more damage.

One other thing I have noticed is that the P&N Version on the Gold CD doesn't have drones enabled. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
I am guessing this is because V3 was done before the Gold release, but I am wondering what Version the drones can be expected in. Regards, |

I was thinking of making drones only for Pirates, since they are quite lacking in special features.
They seem to be a good thing to use for throwaway slave-driven ships. I will probably get them in the next Version; I'm currently working on v2.6 PBW, and then will copy relevant stuff into the v2.6 with AIs. I can Goldify a mod quite easily, so I'll wait until v2.6 PBW is tested reasonably before converting it to gold. The real reason why drones are not is V3 is that I only managed to sort out all the Beta test paperwork less than a week from the mod due date.
