Hampsters...
Hampsterattii raceastyle. Just a fun one I did over the week-end. Uses a very slightly modified EEE AI from the TDM-mod pak. Very much a work-in-progress but I thought i would go ahead and throw this one out for grins. Compatible only with SEIV Gold.
My thanks to Ms. Kitty from the CM:BO forums for permission to use the hampster pics Last year. The ships are all original though the Phong did provide a rough template for some of the ships. I make no warranty that this set will work for you but I hope it does. This is a very nice set, I think. I was expecting it to be a comedy set, with furry spaceships and so on.

PvK: I been pulling my hair out trying to make a hairy texture...no luck yet. hehe, and I too am looking to improve the speech file...3 stooges maybe?
just thought i'd put it out to see if I am heading in the right direction. oh...on the reproductions rate...the *&^%$ little squeekers are running all-over the place in the game I have going atm (AI is running the show-I'm just observing). remind me of that ST episode with the tribbles *shudder* hampster stuff all over space... |

Well, you could get a long-haired fancy hampster wet and then blow-dry it, and take a digital photo. Ought to end up looking like a natural colored tribble. PvK: I found a way..make a transparent shell and put a hair/fur texture on that and fur texture on the base....pain in the butt to do as I have to do each part in DOGA L3 with this effect *groan*...

Good job!
My only recommendation would be to increase the size of the ships a bit to fill up the portraits a little nicer. But other than that, it looks like it's lots of fun. |

Thanks Cap'n, next Version I'll do just that (especially the satellite, mine and small fighters). I'll also re-do them with the better "fur". May take awhile as I am currently working on another set and I would do it after the next TDM-modpak to get revised EEE AI files http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ).
