TCP/IP & TDM Mod Questions.
I have SE IV GOLD and have been playing some great TCP/IP games.
Last night we set up a game {We use the TDM MOD} and we wanted to ad specific TDM races to our game. However when I added the Races we wanted to use I could not begin the game with them. So we opted to just use random races. My questions... #1. Can you manually ad Races to a TCP/IP game and how would you go about doing this and what steps are involved? #2 Do the randomly picked races use the TDM custom AI? #3. As the host/player of the game am I suppose to have access to the AI races ? I get to see who we are up against as players and I can play their turn if I was an unscrupulous host? Is this how it is suppose to be or am I doing something wrong? Lastly I just want to say that GOLD was well worth the purchase price. This is one hell of a game and I can't get enough of it. |
Re: TCP/IP & TDM Mod Questions.
Start some games with randomly generated AIs.
Then, take control of the AIs on the first turn, and save empire. This will give you .EMP files which you can use to "Add Existing Race" Then load the races into your TCP/IP game. The randomly generated races use the TDM AI_general.txt files to define themselves. They then proceed to use the full TDM AI files. As the host, you will probably not actually have access, since the AI races should be password protected. |
