AI\'s hate me
I'm using the TDM mod, and I'm finding that the AI's seem to all hate me. One went from a trade treaty to declaring war within eight turns, and another has gone from partnership to murderous anger over about ten turns. The only way I can keep my one time ally from attacking me seems to be to give him lots of resources, and now he's
"cool" toward me. What is up with that? Are the AI's that prickly that they have to be constantly bought off? |
Re: AI\'s hate me
It's just the modded AI files I think. The game might make them a little more bad-tempered when you increase the difficulty level as well.
If you play Proportions you'll find that even the most psychopathic genocidal races will want to be your friend all the time. Of course it might be something you are doing. AIs don't like ships or colonies in systems they consider "theirs" (Check the borders map), and they can get irate over other wierd things as well. Best thing to do is to wait for them to declare war on you then smoke 'em =-) [ 08 April 2002: Message edited by: dogscoff ]</p> |
Re: AI\'s hate me
Well I did the Aquilaeian and Pyrochette aggressive, because wanted they could be more hard for human players (with peaceful ones, is more ease exchange colonization tech, or a colony ship for some useless frigates, and also, is more easy to betray them).
The only way to have peace with them is: 1) Have the luck to don't be the first to do contact with them. 2) Don't send ships or colonize planets in systems claimed/colonized by them. 3) Try to don't sign a Partnership treaty with them (if they know how many planets and ships you have, they will start to get angry...). |
