Multiplayer Diplomacy and Treaties
 

Playing MP on PBW: when another player wants to make treaty of any type, I don't see any place where it states the actual kind of treaty being invoked. The only way I have been able to tell is by whatever message the other player writes (i.e., "Hi! Want a partnership?").

Am I missing something? Cause I am having to take people's words for it at the moment.

Check the bottom left corner in the "reply" window.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif You are going to kick yourself on this one, but dont' feel too bad. It's so obvious it's easy to overlook.

Two places actually. First, in the screen when you are replying on the left side. (Note you don't actually have to send a rply, you can just hit rply, or accept, or refuse to get to that screen and then cancel back without sending a message.)

Second, in the diplomacy screen (Empires) below the empire offering you the treaty it will say what level of treaty they offered. (This one however disapeears after you reply to the message.)

Hehe. Yes, look at the information about the alien race - if they have proposed a treaty, there will be an extra entry in the main info column for them, saying "Proposed Treaty" with the type proposed listed below it.
