where is patch 1.49?
 

So I've been looking and looking for the pre-gold patch, v.1.49. Yah, I know, what the heck am I doing without gold when everyone else on my block already has it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

I'm just waiting for the Canadian dollar to rally, honest!

In the meantime, does anyone have a copy of the patch lying around? Thanks a bunch.

I found the patch to 1.49 easily enough with your directing. Unfortunately I needed to reinstal from scratch (ie the original CD) and then the patch for 1.49 complained that it can only work from SE:IV that already has patch 1.02 or greater!

Now I have looked about, and have been unable to find patch 1.02, can you help me again? Thanks a bunch for all your help.

I *think* 1.02 is the original CD Version, no?

The original History.txt starts at Version 1.03, so, yes, the CD install ought to be 1.02. I don't have enough HD space free to do a test install to doublecheck this, though.

Notice 1.02 "or greater", it will work over any of the other patches.

It gave me an error message when I tried to patch with 1.49, so something must be up. I've got an earlier patch, so I guess I'll just patch with it, and then repatch with 1.49.
