When trying to join an IP game it asks for a source ip, host ip, and player name. What is the host ip and is it my player name?

Re: TCP/IP games help
The source ip is the ip of your machine. It should be automatically be filled in. I have played several TCP games on a LAN and evertime the source IP was already filled in.

Re: TCP/IP games help
when i start it has my source ip as 10.0.0.2 but i know thats not the right IP

Re: TCP/IP games help
That's the IP your router or firewall is giving you for your home network I would guess. 10.0.0.X is a common network for most of those.

Re: TCP/IP games help
If you are running win 9X, run "winipcfg", and it will tell you what your IP is, from the perspective of people not on your LAN.
