Basic questions....
I've been playing the demo for a while and I've got some questions.
1) Now that I have the Ministers turned on for what I want, how to I get my ships to respond to JUST the resupply minister? 2) How can I upgrade existing ships, bases, and units to current designs? 3) I forgot what my third question was, can you help me? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif Thanks in advance, AtP |
Re: Basic questions....
My Last post before I retire...
1. Go to Ministers in Empire Options Look at Individual Ministers Disable every one of them that you think it doesn't have to affect your ship click on *Turn on Individual Ministers* Click Yes. 1a. if you want a SPECIFIC ship; Just repeat everything but turn on go to the ship click the *face* button on the button panel 2. Move your ships to the nearest spaceyard and click on planet, then click on the recycle button. Select everything you want to upgrade by clicking on the box besides the ship or base, and click Retrofit. 2a. If there are complications, build a ship with a space yard, move the space yard ship to the vessel or base, and repeat step 2. 2b. Units cannot be upgraded. Jettison them and build new ones. 3. Sorry. I don't read minds. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif |

Re: Basic questions....
2c. You can't retrofit a ship while it's in a fleet.

Re: Basic questions....
You can re-fit ships by cliking on the Looks like green triangle, in upper task bar of game, you must lst have ships out of a fleet, and you must have a space yard present either over planet of yard ship, or Station with one on it, clik on the ship or base u want to re-fit, on right you should see the retro-fit button highlighted, clik on it and wallaaaaa, However, if you are way ahead in tech, you may have to re-fit in stages if to far ahead.. can't retro units, you must either add the new to them or jettison the old ones to make room for the new ones..
just some ideas mac |
Re: Basic questions....
Props to tesco samoa who actually knows where its at. By the way would that be laden or unladen?
Finally i have a new idea for Mr. Pun. How about we give you answers and you figure out what the question was. My first one is 42. And here's a hint, the computer that would have figured out the question was destroyed 6 minutes before it would have produced an answer by a highway construction team that was already using outmoded technology. |
Re: Basic questions....
Another tip for refitting/retrofitting:
You can select multiple ships for refit IF AND ONLY IF they are all the exact same type/class. I got all frustrated one day because I was trying to refit two small transports, and I couldn't figure out why the "scrap" button was enabled but refit wasn't. And then I realized that the two transports were slightly different designs. So I had to refit each one individually... |
