Definitive list of Foreign Mags and sites

I am looking for folks that are outside the U.S. to help me. Just answer two questions for me:

1) List the most influental gaming mags and sites in your country. Also list your country.

2) If you are outside the U.S. how did you find out about SE:IV in the first place?

We have a good presence in foreign regions but I want to make sure we are covering all of the countries.

And I mean EVERY country, no matter how small.

Canada.

I don't really follow gaming magazines but I know that there are the same ones as the US.

I was a previous owner os SE:III and was looking for new mods when I came across SE:IV on the net.

France ! (same country than those just beaten by Senegal team, loool http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif !)
Most read PC game mag are "Joystick" and "Generation4", but now they're full of 3D-Real-time-Shooters-that-suck http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif ...

So we also have a small, but *wonderful* wargame mag (board + computer), "Vae Victis", it exists since 6 years now.
SE4 is not "on topic" for the mag, but most of Shrapnel's games are http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif !
And, uhm, yes, I'm an author for this mag http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Ooh, and about how I heard of SE4 ? Well, one month ago, tired of waiting for MOO3 since 5 years http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif , I was searching on the Net for a good 4X game ...The title "space empires" came, I searched reviews, read them (I recall reading a PvK article at wargamers.com too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ), compared the game to Stars! (I played a demo of this one perhaps 2 years ago, didn't like it much..), and finally ordered SE4G !
Received it 2 days later, was very satisfied by the game, the mods and the community, so I staid ... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

USA - Mags: I don't really follow computer gaming mags. Online Sites: www.ign.com

How I found SEIV: Well I first got SE2 on a little demo disk type thing back when I was oh I don't know 10. (I'm only 17 now mind you - lol) Maybe before that even. But I loved that game and me and my brother played it to death. But we didn't have the full Version. Just the demo up to the cruiser tech. We some how lost interest in the game for awhile, and went oh I don't know about 4 years without playing. Then I played SE2 again for a couple days and then I got busy doing other stuff and lost track of it again. Finally a few months ago I got back in the mood to play it and so I started looking for SE2 on the internet and so I used like every search engine I knew to try and find it. I finally found Malfadors website and saw SE2 so I downloaded that, then realized there was a SE3 and a SEIV. So I downloaded SE3 and IV demo and played 3 first for a couple days of course. I hated 3! I didn't like the interface one little bit. I'm sure I would've gotten used to it after awhile though. But I played the demo to IV and got hooked on it right away. So I put in my pre-order for IVGold and a few weeks later I had Gold. So that's how I came into the SE universe, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Found out about SE:IV on the Avault.com (Adrenaline vault). They seem to have alot of news about Shrapnel games whenever something new happens (like the new e-store and sports game section yesterday). Only mag I glace at up here is PC Gamer every once and awhile.

Italy
1)Italian magazines: "The Game Machine" and, to a lesser extent, "Giochi per il mio computer", are commonly available. PC Gamer and Computer Gaming World in English are also available in specialized stores.
2)I don't remind exactly if I found news about SE4 demo before the game was released at www.avault.com or www.gonegold.com
Regards.

I'm from Finland and the best game magazine around here is Pelit (www.pelit.fi).

I was a SE3 fan and found out about SE4 while searching for mods.
