Recommended scenarios?
 

Hello,

The only scenario I've had for a while is the included 'tutorial' scenario, which honestly isn't much. Scenarios seem extremely tricky to create and I wasn't interested until now. Still, I couldn't find any scenarios to download in the Scenario/Map archive, just maps. Anyone got some they recommend?

If you have the Gold CD there are some scenario's created by Geo on there, quite nice ones actually. (esp the one with Grand High Lord Owen http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ) I believe there is also a Star Trek Voyager scenario somewhere in the downloads section for non-gold.

I've got two scenarios in my sig.

The chess one is for multiplayer. Best as a hotseat one-on-one game (naturally, since its chess http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif )

The other one is a cool situation: You are a moderately-high tech neutral, who has sucessfully defended their starsystem against all agressors for ages.
Suddenly, your stars grow unstable. Your entire civilization is about to be wiped out, and the only option is to flee with whatever you can carry.
You ulitmate goal is to return and rebuild your ancestral home, no matter what the cost. To ensure it never again suffers the same fate, you must build a ring or sphere world around the crated star as well.
Those glorious plans pale in comparison to the daunting task ahead: survive the destruction of your home in a hostile universe.

They sound cool, but they don't work (well at least the homecoming one doesn't).

Are they compatible with GOLD only?

You have to use the P&N mod for the homecoming scenario.
