path.txt madness
I made a copy of the TDM-Modpack directory and put my own modded files into it, just to test against the TDM AIs and make my solo games more interesting. I changed the directory name to MyMod and changed the path.txt as such. My problem is, the SEIV main screen always says "using TDM-Modpack directory", which sometimes confuses the hell out of me because I've also got a standard TDM-Modpack directory. This problem doesn't go away even if I delete the TDM-Modpack directory! Any clue?

Re: path.txt madness
Simple : TDM uses a "copy" of the intro screen bmp, with added text "using TDM Modpack" ... So you use this screen on "yourmod" folder too ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
The file is "Intro.bmp", there are 2 of'em, located in Pictures\Games\screens\800x600 and 1024x768 folders (each resolution has his screen). To alleviate confusion you should edit it yourself (with a paint software) and replace the text with what you want http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |
