Team PBW games

Ok. I'm posting this under the guise of a new topic and generating new thought on the topic, but really I can't be bothered to search all the old threads.

Have there ever been any successful Team-based PBW games? More specifically, are there any team PBW games that were of non-standard form.

By 'standard form' I mean two teams fighting until one team wins.

By non-standard I mean things like "Capture the Flag" (trying to colonize or destroy a single planet at the back the opposing teams territory to win)

Anyone got any other ideas?

i don't think so.

start one up

State at the beginning the following players are teams and let them go....

4 teams of 2 would be cool.

You could make the teams based on experience ..

I am in if you want to create the game.

I'm in for a team based game.
No problem to find a teammate.

A team game could be interesting. I just finished a game with a friend and could probably convince him to join with me. I don’t know how you would set up a Capture the Flag type game unless you designed a galaxy in the editor, but it could be interesting.

The simple solution to the flag: the first team to capture any homeworld wins. (obviously not your teammate's). Presto, instant flag!

Or you could do another menagerie game: You have to capture at least x million population of every other race in the game. No AI's. (Rebel populations don't count; you might disallow PPPs for simplicities sake.)
