Q and God Emperers borg
 
I was wondering if you two were thinking of including your ideas of what the Borg should be into Captain Kwok's star trek mod, I beleive that the inclusion of a joint effort, "the best of both worlds" so to speak, would nicely fit into this mod. If the 3 of you would echange ideas. well, they would be a formable opponet indeed. I have found that both ideas are very compelling, and had both mods combobulalated into one, They were fun to play against the AI.

You both had great ideas, and along with Captain Kwok should make a formible opponet

Bettween the two mods. well a beefed up organic armor, still took up 30kt of space. borg null space projector, could regenerate when destroyed, transwarp drive, muulti-phisic shields, phased sheilds with regenerators built in, and 1k repair drones, and finally the neru (sp)combat net. Many other goodies that slips my mind. The only alteration I can see is to make the organic armor 10K, and let the borg be a uber race. Of course some of the facilities that mine hugen recources may help also????

Think of ST techno bable, one ship destroyed 40. The hard part is to keep them beatable. Perhaps the MM AI would work. Very powerful, but shocked at every turn of events?

I must admit that I have taken my Borg pretty much as far as I had intended (apart from the usual AI tweaking), so I'm quite happy to collaborate with Q and Captain Kwok on a "definitive" Borg race style.

As a note, my original intent wasnt so much as to make the Borg a "super-race" but to give it Borg type facets (Boarding attacks, regenerative armour, small repair components, shield/armour penetrating weapons, etc) which would make it one of the superior races by virtue of its special components. In the games I play (large galaxy), the Borg are typically in the top 4 by turn 70.....

Just my .02, but I suggest folowing GE's lead and just give them a "Borgy" feel and some unique attributes, but not a lot more powerful than evey other race. Otherwise games using your mod will become stale as it will always come down to a fight against the Borg.

If you want a Super Borg, that would be good for a scenario or something that you don't play all the time.

Sorry, didn't read this topic until now.
At the moment I have unfurtunately no time for a new project but feel free to modify or merge my Borg assimilation Mod as you like.
The newest Version is part of the QMod I posted recently in the mod secttion.
