A few thoughts

I would like to see the following, although the movement one would probably require a good deal of work.

1) The ability to set the amount of supplies tranfered between ships in a fleet. e.g. When I have a fowrad supply ship with solar panels that is generating supplies, I want to have it merge with a fleet and then transfer all or nearly all of its supplies to the other ships. The next turn the now empty supply supply ship can seperate from the fleet to regenerate supplies while the main fleet goes about its necessary business.

2) Instead of fixed movement points, I would like to set a destination and then have the ability to select the speed for the ship/fleet. Depending on the engine types and the speed the consumption of supplies might be none (for very low speed or for engines that have bussard collectors), normal or very high for extreme speeds (i.e. each engine type needs a supply consumption vs. speed curve). Extreme speeds should also have a chance of damaging the ship(s).

This would allow you to be much more flexible in the movement of ships/fleets

I would like to see the following:

1. Wheel mouse support.
2. Button "Add to All Empty Ques". The Add to ALL button takes too much time to use. A button that does it all at once is much better.
3. Right click feature for planets. Right click on a planet and you can make notes and other comments in NOTE PAD.
4. A RETREAT option in combat. To save your ships before they enter battle. I hate having to fight every time an enemy ship comes through a WP.

I agree with those poitns as well.

I thought of another one which would be nice (and if it exists and I missed it, please let me know).

The ability to save certain build orders so that when you colonise a wold you can load a standard build set.

I agree with both the points that Claymore brought out. I especially like the movement one. It reminds me of Stars!, that's the way it was played, instead of fixed movement points you choose the speed in which you want to ship to get there. I really like this idea. Would love for it to be in SEIV Gold patch or SEV. Hopefully if enough of us send it into Malfador, Aaron will add it to the game. We can only hope I guess.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Already exists: the Fill Queue button on the individual planet construction queue screen.

To define a set of builds, put them on the planet's queue, Fill Queue, Add New, name it.

Once you've defined a set, you can select it from the Fill Queue list.

If an item in a saved set is marked obsolete, selecting that set will produce an error message, so you have to redefine the set whenever you design an upgrade.

I think the retreat order should only be an option when your ship has greater movement than the enemy.

I agree with the wheel mouse support as well and the que ideas are good as well.

I personally would like to see more types of atmospheres.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's one way. The way I think it should be is that ONLY the attacker can retreat. The defender should NOT be allowed to retreat. This would solve the problem of chasing someone down till the corner of the map. But your way is good as well.
