You want moons? Try my Quadrant Mod. It has tons of moons. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Right after I posted that I started a new game and lo-and behold! One of the available green planets had a moon. But I was referring primarily to computer-assigned homeworlds.

I'll take a look at your mod.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You won't except for exceedingly rare flukey cases, unless you use the map editor and set starting positions on a planet in the same sector with a moon. It's not something you can mod into the data files. I did see one game where one of the AI started on a planet in the same sector as an asteroid field and one other case where an AI planet had a moon. But it wasn't really a moon, it was just a tiny airless planet in the same sector. It didn't have the "A" after the planet name like a moon would.
